I looked everywhere
Out the window
In the graveyard
Even under the mattress

But the darn thing
It just wouldn't show up

I smoked some
Drank some
Ate some
Still it didn't come

I went out to the country searching
But still no sign

Tired, I finally sat down
Picked up a pen
Scratched my beard
Just then it crept up from behind.
